In Remembrance of Ginni Davlin-Mayor of Wagonwheel Gap

These are difficult words to write. Doug Davlin wrote that on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at about 1:30 PM, “Our beloved Ginni, the Mayor, died” and he added that it was “Quick …. painless …. and  peaceful. Kit, our son, was here to help.” and as he asked us to share this sad news, he closed with “She really loved the RMD people”

Those of you who participated in RMD excursions on the Creede Branch have had the wonderful privilege of meeting and getting to know this wonderful, lovely and delightful person. Ginni was always glad to see all of you, and graciously shared her home with many of us, giving tours, sharing stories and sharing laughter. She truly was the most wonderful Mayor of Wagonwheel Gap.

Ginni was an artist. Her fiber art projects would belong in any gallery, anywhere. Ginni was sharp as a tack, always keeping any discussion on any topic moving in a lively manner. Ginni was a polymath. But words are insufficient to describe Ginni, and they are insufficient to describe how much we shall miss her. Keep Doug and family in your hearts with love-PW
